Looking For Better Materials
My interest in natural gemstone jewelry started through materials rather than passion.
Over the years, customers often asked about discoloration, durability, and allergies. Those questions pushed me to look more closely at what I was using and why, driving me to find materials that could last longer and perform better over time.
That search eventually led me to gemstones.

What Makes Gemstones Different
One of the things I appreciate most about gemstones is their natural character.
Artificial materials can imitate color, but they rarely recreate the same feeling. The subtle variations, transparency, and texture of natural stones create something that feels impossible to manufacture.
The more I worked with gemstones, the more I appreciated their unique character.

The Beauty Of Imperfection
To be honest, gemstones are not always easy to work with.
Every stone is slightly different. Shapes vary. Sizes vary. Sometimes that makes designing and production more challenging.
Yet, while perfect uniformity can feel manufactured, the natural variations in gemstones are what make them feel unique, natural, and full of character.

Natural Harmony
I have always been drawn to natural places. Mountains, beaches, rivers, and landscapes shaped by time have always felt more comfortable to me than highly polished environments. Looking back, I realize that this preference influenced more than the places I enjoy. It also shaped the way I see beauty.
I find myself drawn to things that feel natural rather than perfect, balanced rather than overly refined, and individual rather than identical. Perhaps that is why gemstones feel so familiar to me.
The natural variations, imperfections, and character found in gemstones reflect many of the qualities I have always appreciated.
In some ways, I don't think I chose gemstones.
I think I simply followed what felt natural to me.

Why I Continue To Work With Gemstones
I don't work with gemstones because of their symbolic meanings.
I work with them because I deeply appreciate the material itself—the colors, the textures, the natural variations, and the sense of balance they bring to a design.
After exploring many materials over the years, gemstones became the one that felt most aligned with who I am.
And for now, that is where I want to stay.
